View on the Central Oregon Coast.

The Millard Family has been harvesting choice, wild, edible mushrooms in the forests of the Pacific Northwest for the last 15 years. Our forays have led us from the Blue Mountains of Oregon, to Montana, and home to the Oregon Coast.

We are very much aware that fungi are an important part of forest ecosystems. We are careful to collect “wisely”, using collecting methods that conserve fungal populations by picking only mature mushrooms so that we are sure that they are safe for consumption; and leaving older mushrooms to disseminate spores and provide fungi for the future health of the forest.

We gather a wide variety of mushrooms including Chanterelles, Morels, Matsutake, Boletes, Lobsters, Oysters, Hedgehogs and many more. We are certain of our ability to identify the species we sell. Each new species we add to our repertoire is thoroughly verified with mycologists.

We collect and sell only mushrooms in prime condition. This is true of both our fresh and dried products. We dry our mushrooms in gentle dryers that maintain texture and flavor to the greatest possible extent.
